IDENTITY OF FAITH: The History of Christianity Part 2
Sean Martin along with other teachers
meeting in room ABC 1 (former library)
Throughout two millennia, Christianity has evolved into the most widespread faith in the world. In this class, we explore important questions such as: What do we learn from Christianity’s past? How did we get to where we are today? What distinguishes our church beliefs, practices, and values from those of other churches? What unites us? We tackle key events, people, and ideas that made Christianity what it is today, in the hope that we can understand our identity in light of our history. We know WHO we are when we know where we’ve been.
This class will explore questions that keep many people from considering faith in Christ. Based on the book, Confronting Christianity (McLaughlin), come and get equipped to answer questions about the reality of suffering, the complexity of sexuality, the desire for diversity, the success of science, and other challenging issues. Sundays. 9:30 am. Room 4W.
